SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - General
• Pleasereadtheseinstructionscarefullyandretainthemforfuturereference.
• Usethisappliancesolelyinaccordancewiththeseinstructions.
• Thisappliancecanbeusedbychildrenolderthan8yearsandpersonswithreducedphysical,sensory
ormentalcapabilitiesorlackofexperienceandknowledge,butonlyiftheyhavebeengivensupervision
orinstructionconcerninguseoftheapplianceinasafewayandunderstandthehazardsinvolved.
• Childrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethattheydonotplaywiththeappliance.
• Cleaningand maintenancemust notbe doneby children, exceptif theyare olderthan 8years and
supervised.
• Keeptheapplianceandthecableoutofreachofchildrenunder8years.
• Haveanyrepairscarriedoutsolelybyaqualifiedelectrician.Nevertrytorepairtheapplianceyourself.

 Certainpartsoftheappliancemaygethot.
   Donottouchthesepartstopreventburningyourself.
• Makesurethatthemainsvoltageisthesameasthatindicatedonthetypeplateontheappliancebeforeuse.
• Makesurethesocketintowhichyouplugtheapplianceisearthed.
• Itrecommendedtoplugtheapplianceintoawallsocketandtonotuseanextensionleadoramultiple
socket.Ifthisisnotpossible,useanearthedextensionleadoranearthedmultiplesocketthatissuitable
forthepowerstatedontheappliance’stypeplate.
• Alwaysremovetheplugfromthewallsocketwhentheapplianceisnotinuseorwhencleaningthe
appliance.
• Alwaysremovetheplugfromthewallsocketbypullingontheplug,notthepowercord.
• Checktheappliance’spowercordregularlytomakesureitisnotdamaged.Donotusetheapplianceif
thepowercordisdamaged.Haveadamagedpowercordreplacedbyaqualifiedservicedepartment.
• Makesurethattheappliance,thepowercordandplugdonotcomeintocontactwithwater.
• Certainpartsoftheappliancewillbecomehot.Donottouchthem,asyoucouldburnyourself.
• Theapplianceneedsspacetoallowheattoescape,therebyavoidingtheriskoffire.Makesurethatthe
appliancehassufficientspacearoundit,anddoesnotcomeincontactwithflammablematerials.The
appliancemaynotbecovered.
• Makesurethattheapplianceandthepowercorddonotcomeincontactwithsourcesofheat,suchas
ahothobornakedflame.
• Allowtheappliancetocooldownbeforecleaningorstoringit.
• Emptythewaterreservoirwhenstoringtheapplianceinalocationwherethewatercouldfreeze.

• Makesurethatyourhandsaredrywhenyoutouchtheappliance,thepowercordortheplug.
• Donotironfabricwhenitisverywet.
• Placetheapplianceonastable,heatresistantsurfacewhereitcannotfallover.
• Makesureyoudonotbecomecaughtupinthepowercord.
• Neverleavetheapplianceunsupervisedwhilstitisswitchedon.
• Neveraimthesteamatpeople.Steamcausesseriousburns.
• Donotmovethewaterreservoirwhilstitisbeingused.
• Ifnecessary,cleantheapplianceafteruse(see‘Cleaningandmaintenance’).
