GENERAL

The DVR

2000E is delivered in a sturdy carton to prevent shipping damage. Upon receipt, check the part number

against the requisition and packaging list for agreement. Inspect for damage, and if there is evidence of such,

immediately ﬁ le a claim with the carrier and notify your sales representative or a sales representative at Marathon

Electric.

If the unit is not installed immediately, store it in the original shipping package in a moisture and dust free

environment.

MOUNTING

The DVR

2000E is normally located in the generator conduit box. It is designed for behind the panel mounting

and requires a cutout for front panel viewing and access. Mounting hardware consists of six customer supplied,

#12 thread-forming screws that pass through mounting holes in the conduit box and thread into the plastic shell

of the DVR

2000E. The unit must be mounted where the ambient temperature does not exceed the allowable

environmental conditions called out in Section 1, General Information, Speciﬁ cations. DVR

When the DVR

2000E Voltage regulator is mounted on the generator at the factory a molded cover is provided.

This cover allows the system to be in compliance with UL 508 as live terminals and heatsinks could be exposed

to unintentional contact. As stated this cover must be installed whenever the voltage regulator is energized.
