Common terminal–A terminal on a switch whose contact can be connected to one or more terminals on the switch. Door monitor switch–A switch that monitors whether the door is open or closed. This switch is used to detect a forced entry, or a door that is propped open. Inductive load–An electrical device such as a motor, relay, or solenoid.
