12 dc and 6 rows = 4" [10 cm]
with 2 strands of yarn tog.
INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Entire blanket is worked
holding 2 strands of yarn tog.
When changing colors, work to
last 2 loops on hook of last dc.
Draw new color through last
2 loops to complete stitch and
proceed in new color.
Work over unused color in
gingham pattern. Carry colors up
side of work.
Strip 1 (make 3).
With 2 strands of MC, ch 23.
1st row: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook
(counts as 2 dc). 1 dc in next ch.
*With A, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch.
With MC, 1 dc in each of next
3 ch. Rep from * to end of ch.
Turn. 21 dc.
2nd row: With MC, ch 3 (counts
as dc.) 1 dc in each of next2 dc.
*With A, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc.
With MC, 1 dc in each of next
3 dc. Rep from * to end of row.
Join B. Turn.
3rd row: With B, ch 3 (counts
as dc). 1 dc in each of next 2 dc.
*With MC, 1 dc in each of next
3 dc. With B, 1 dc in each of next
3 dc. Rep from * to end of row.
Turn.
4th row: As 3rd row. Join MC.
