garter st.
INSTRUCTIONS
Square (make 9)
Cast on 71 sts.
1st row: (WS). Knit.
2nd row: K34. Center dec. K34.
3rd and alt rows: Knit
4th row: K33. Center dec. K33.
6th row: K32. Center dec. K32.
Cont in pat as established,
working 1 less st before center
dec on each RS row until 3 sts rem.
Next row: Center dec.
Fasten off rem st.
FINISHING
Using coordinating smooth yarn
and a flat seam, sew 9 squares
tog as seen in diagram.

Size U.S. 10 (6 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Small amount of coordinating smooth yarn for seaming.
