MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGY
9x Carbon Fiber
Incorporates an additional weave to
the latest high intensity 8x Carbon Fiber
material, which increases the structural rigidity and
improves performance. The 8-layer base carbon fiber
alternates its axial direction to distribute weight loads
in 3 directions. The 9th layer is wound in an opposite
direction providing unimaginable torsional rigidity
and strength.
8x Carbon Fiber
Benro QIHM-8X high intensity carbon fiber utilizes
a quasi-isotropic structure in an 8-layer tubular
construction. Each layer alternates its axial direction to
distribute the weight load in three dimensions. The result
produces a lighter but very structurally stable material
with amazing strength. This design has been tested
in independent laboratories and has been found to
outperform most of the competition. In break tests alone
the 8X material had a breaking point of 134kg, while our
competitor’s broke at only 84.4kg
Aluminum
Benro Aluminum tubing made of imported high-strength
aluminum alloy. This light-weight alloy is specially treated
to ensure strength and rigidity. In addition, our aluminum
parts are protected with a combination of anodizing
and high temperature powder coating, which enhances
impact and corrosion resistance.
Magnesium
The strength, stability and anti-vibration performance of
magnesium alloys outperforms aluminum alloys. The use
of magnesium instead of aluminum for the same volume
will have a 30% weight reduction. Magnesium is also a
preferred green material that is accepted by the metal
processing industry.
Protective Finish
All metal components used in Benro tripods are
enhanced with a double protective combination of
anodization and powder coating. This improves its
appearance and extends its service life, while adding to
its resistance to corrosion and impact damage.
Leg Lock Systems
Twist Lock
Benro Self-Adjusting Twist Locks are
silent and reliable. They are designed
for comfortable, rapid operation, while
also providing excellent dust and
all-weather resistance.
Magnesium Flip Lock
Benro Magnesium Flip Locks are
user-adjustable and are easy to use
in any condition. They are designed
to lock securely and have the added
benefit of being set to a personal
locking preference.
Technopolymer Flip Lock
Benro Technopolymer Flip Locks
are designed to meet the utmost
standards in locking technology
and are reinforced for long-lasting
performance. They are easy and fast to
use, while also being maintenance free.
