Installing the dust filter (Optional accessory)
The dust filter is an optional accessory, and it varies by region.
1. Follow the illustration to install the dust filter. Align the dust filter with the
arrow positions, then press it close to the projector.
2. Press the hooks until it clicks.
3. Turn on the projector, then press MENU, go to SYSTEM SETUP:
Advanced > Fan Speed Mode > High and select Yes.
4. Clean the dust filter periodically. To clean the dust filter, use a small vacuum
cleaner designed for computers and other office equipment.
The dust filter should be used in dusty environments only. Filters must be
cleaned/replaced periodically i.e after every 500 hrs or 3 months, or sooner
depending upon the air environment. Clogged filter can restrict air flow
causing the projector to heat excessively leading to pre-mature lamp and/
or projector failure.
5. If the dirt is difficult to remove or the filter is broken, please contact your local
dealer or service center to obtain a new filter.
6. Reset filter timer after a new filter is replaced. Go to SYSTEM SETUP: Basic
> Operation Settings > Reset Filter Timer and select Reset.
