45 Introducing main applications
Introducing main applications
You are provided with some pre-installed applications; available applications may vary
depending on the product supplied for your region. You can obtain more from the online
application store.
You can create the application shortcuts on the Home screen. Here is a list of the main
applications.

BenQ
Recommend
Provides applications recommended by BenQ.
BenQ Cloud
Provides free storage space on the BenQ server. See BenQ Cloud
on page 47 for more information.
Browser
Accesses the web sites. See Browser on page 49 for more
information.
Calculator
Provides a tool to solve arithmetic and equation problems. See
Calculator on page 52 for more information.
Calendar
Browses and edits the calendar. See Calendar on page 53 for more
information.
Camera
Takes pictures and video clips. See Using the built-in webcam on
page 23 for more information.
Clock
Displays time and sets alarm. See Clock on page 54 for more
information.
Downloads
Browses and accesses all the downloaded files.
Email Receives and sends e-mails. Supports 3 types of emails: POP3,
IMAP and Exchange. See Email on page 55 for more information.
Family Board Allows you to share pictures and calendars with the family, or leave
messages. Members of the same family board can access the same
information from different devices once the compatible version of
application is installed. See Family Board on page 56 for more
information.
Files
Manages files stored on the internal memory and the connected
storage devices. See Files on page 62 for more information.
Gallery Browses the images stored on the internal memory or the
connected storage devices. See Kingsoft Office on page 63 for
more information.
Gmail
Receives and sends e-mails via your Gmail account.
