4. Tap Done to save. Now you can see the most up-to-date information just posted by your
friends.
Keeping your friends posted online
With Friend Book you can keep your contacts from the signed-in social networks posted on
your status as well.
• Tap the text field to enter texts, and tap to write a post.
• Tap to take a new picture using the built-in webcam or choose an existing image from
Gallery. You can add your comment on the selected image as well. And then tap Share.
Connecting with other media devices
Playing multimedia files between different media devices
(through DLNA)
Your smart display allows interoperability with other media devices that support Digital Living
Network Alliance (DLNA) within the same home network (wired or wireless). With the
DLNA compatibility standards, your smart display is able to receive and play video/audio/image
files from other media devices, or vice versa, without any cable connection.
This feature is particularly helpful when
• your media source and the media player (i.e. your smart display) are not on the same device,
or
• the media files are stored on a device with smaller screen and the playback on a larger screen
is desired.
Transferring media files to smart display for playback
Your smart display is a DLNA-compatible player for playback of media files from other
DLNA-compatible media devices within the same home network. You can control the playback
from one of the media devices while all applications on the smart display are still available to
you.
Alternatively, you can check your friends’ updates from People if corresponding social network accounts are
added and enabled. Go to >
People > the News tab.
• If Wi-Fi (instead of Ethernet) network is used to connect your DLNA products, make sure the Wi-Fi
connection is stable enough to ensure smooth data transmission and playback.
• While the playback control is performed remotely from a different device, pay attention to the control range.
Wi-Fi connectivity has limited range, depending upon the equipment being used, the chosen frequently band,
radiowave interference, and the physical landscape (including building structure). Circumstances will vary
depending upon your particular situation.
