38 Connecting with your contacts
Adding a new account
People helps to combine contacts from different accounts so you can manage these contacts
easily.
If you prefer to add a new account when adding a new contact in People, follow the on-screen
instructions to complete the setting. Alternatively, refer to the following procedures to add a
new account from Settings.
1. Go to > Settings > Account & sync.
2. Tap ADD ACCOUNT on the upper-right corner of the screen, and select a service
provider.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setting. You might want to activate the
synchronization of all data at this point. Or you can manually change the sync status of the
selected account later from > Settings > Account & sync.
Managing contacts from different accounts
If you have synced all the contacts from different accounts on the smart display, you can manage
them in People.
• Tap the ALL tab in People to view all the contacts from different accounts.
Tap t h e GROUPS tab to view contacts of different groups if specified when creating each
contact. You can manually create a new group by tapping and adding contacts from the
list.
Tap t h e FAVORITES tab to view the contacts that are marked with .
• Slide up or down the purple bar on the left to view the contact list.
• To search for a contact, tap .
• To modify the contact information, tap the contact to be modified and tap to edit.
Syncing personal updates with your friends (Friend Book)
You are provided with a social network widget named Friend Book, which keeps you and your
friends posted online.
Friend Book retrieves updates from several social network services. Available networks may
vary depending on the product supplied for your region.
Receiving updates from your contacts
1. Tap Friend Book from the Home screen. To launch it for the first time, you will be asked to
add a social network account. Follow the on-screen instructions to add one or more social
network accounts. Make sure
Sync Contacts is enabled.
2. After the configuration is complete, tap >
Friend Book.
3. Tap , and choose which networks you’d like to receive updates from.
