35 Connecting with your contacts
Switching to my favorite channels
You can select some of your favorite applications and websites and create shortcuts for them
for quick access from the default main Home.
1. In the default main Home, tap in My Channels.
2. Tap , and choose a type of shortcut.
Select App to view a list of installed applications. Check the desired applications and tap
OK.
Select Web link to enter the desired website address in the text field. Tap the arrow on
the right of the text field to bring up a thumbnail of the webpage. And tap OK.
3. The last 7 channels just set will be displayed on the default main Home. If you have more
than 7 favorite channels, tap to view all.
Connecting with your contacts
The contacts saved on your smart display are synced with your e-mail account(s) provided by
certain service providers. Supported accounts may vary depending on the product supplied for
your region.
Managing your contacts
> People
As your contact list goes long, People is a syncing tool to manage your contacts from different
accounts and groups. You can set up and save contacts’ information for immediate
communication and search.
Note that you can launch People by any account and create new contacts for them, but only
the contacts from the Google accounts can be synced between the local device (i.e. smart
display) and the web. Contacts for the accounts other than Google will be saved on the local
device only. While adding a new contact, different fields will be available depending on the save
location.
1. Log in your Google Account.
2. Make sure you have enabled the synchronization of contacts in > Settings >
Accounts & sync.
• You must establish the Internet connection before use.
• If you have removed all the accounts from >
Settings > Account & sync, you will be asked to add a
account again when activating
People.
