32 The Home screens
Adding a new Home screen
You can have up to 9 Home screens.
On a Home screen, tap and hold the existing application shortcut/widget that you’d like to
added to a new Home screen, and drag it to the far right end of the Home to the just
displayed. Now you have a new Home screen with the shortcut just moved.
Deleting a Home screen
You can delete extra Home screens from the right end. Remove all the application shortcuts
and widgets from the Home screen to be deleted, and the Home will be deleted automatically.
See Deleting an item on page 33 for details.
Setting a new main Home screen
The smart display enters a default main Home after it is powered on. Tapping under any
circumstances brings you back to the main Home as well. If you have customized a Home
screen and would like to make it a new main Home, tap and hold the Home shortcut icon (on
the upper part of the screen) that represents the desired main Home. A message Set this page
as home success!
pops up on the lower part of the screen, indicating that the setting has
been changed.
Adding a new application shortcut or widget to Home
1. Go to the Home screen in which you wish to add application shortcut/widget to. Make sure
there is space for the new item.
2. Tap to view all the applications under the APPS tab or all widgets under the
WIDGETS tab.
3. Tap and hold the icon of the application/widget to create its shortcut on the Home screen.
The icon is added to the Home screen immediately.
If there is no empty space for the new shortcut, you must delete an item from the current
Home screen, or slide to another Home screen and start with Step 2 again.
The item on the Home screen can be deleted while the application/widget is still available
from .
Once a widget is available on the Home, you can enlarge it manually. Tap and hold the widget
for a while and release it, a blue frame with 2 or 4 diamonds displayed. Tap and hold one of the
diamonds and drag it to the desired position.
Creating a new folder
You can categorize the application shortcuts on the Home screens by creating folders, and
name the folders as desired.
1. Tap and hold an application shortcut and drag it to another shortcut you’d like to put
together until a blue circle appears. Now a new folder has been created for these
applications.
2. Tap to open the folder, and the applications included are displayed. Tap Unnamed Folder
to name the folder.
If a folder has been named already, you can tap to rename the folder.
The default Home screens came with your smart display cannot be deleted.
