30 The Home screens
You can always return to the main Home screen from any application under any circumstances
by tapping .
The icons on the bottom-left part of the screen ( / / / , also called navigation
buttons) may fade away or become dots in some applications or if not used for a period of time.
Tap the location of these icons to bring back the icons.
In the main Home screen, you can slide to the right or left for more Home screens, which
provide more room for application shortcuts and widgets.
Switching to other Home screens
Switch to other Home screens by doing one of the following:
• tap the Home screen shortcuts on the upper part of the screen to go to the desired Home
screen directly.

The space is open to application shortcuts and widgets. Available
application shortcuts and widgets may vary depending on the
product supplied for your region. See Customizing your Home
screens on page 31 for more information.

All Apps icon
Accesses all applications installed on your smart display.

• Returns to the previous screen.
• In some applications: exits the application.

Home
Returns to the main Home screen from any circumstances.

Recent apps
Shows a list of applications that are launched.
• Tap one of the listed applications to bring it up.
• To remove one from the list, tap and swipe it left or right.
9. OSD (on-screen
display) settings
Allows you to adjust volume, display brightness, display contrast,
and switch between Display mode and Android system.
10. Docking Allows you to keep the frequently used applications for quick
access.
11. Notification area
and Status bar
Indicates the current device status, available services, and
notifications.
Available icons may vary depending on the applications you are running
and the services available in your area.
