3. Name the network created by your smart display and secure it if needed in Tethering &
portable hotspot
> Configure Wi-Fi hotspot. A password is created automatically if the
network is encrypted. Make sure to check Show password to display the password. This
is helpful for the Wi-Fi connection afterwards.
4. Confirm with Save.
5. Check Portable Wi-Fi hotspot. Your smart display now becomes an access point for other
devices to be connected to wirelessly.
6. Activate Wi-Fi on other devices, and scan for the new access point (i.e. your smart
display). You may be prompted to enter the password when connecting to this Wi-Fi
hotspot just set. Go back to > Settings > More > Tethering & portable hotspot >
Configure Wi-Fi hotspot to check the password. Once the connection is established,
other devices can connect to the Internet through your smart display.
Once the hotspot is configured properly for the first time, you can toggle hotspot on or off
quickly from the Home screen.
Tap to toggle hotspot on. If the green line under the icon is displayed, the hotspot is
activated.
Tap to toggle hotspot off. The green line under the icon will be disappeared.
Wi-Fi is disabled automatically when hotspot is turned on.
