27 Basic operations
Turning Wi-Fi on
Make sure that you are located within the wireless network service area.
• Tap from the Home screen to turn Wi-Fi on. If the green line under the icon is displayed,
the Wi-Fi network is activated.
• Alternatively, go to > Settings from the Home screen, and slide the Wi-Fi switch to ON.
Turning Wi-Fi off
• Tap from the Home screen again to turn Wi-Fi off. The green line under the icon will be
disappeared.
• Alternatively, go to > Settings from the Home screen, and slide the Wi-Fi switch to OFF.
Adding a new Wi-Fi network
1. Make sure that you are located within the wireless network service area.
2. Go to > Settings from the Home screen, and slide the Wi-Fi switch to ON.
3. Tap ADD NETWORK on the top-right corner of the screen.
4. Enter the network SSID. If that network is encrypted, tap Security to set the encryption
type. Contact your network service provider for the network information.
5. Tap Save.
Deleting a connected Wi-Fi network
1. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled already.
2. In > Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the network to be deleted.
3. Tap
Forget network to delete the network from the list.
Connecting to the Ethernet network
1. Connect the smart display to the Ethernet network as instructed in Connecting to Ethernet
network on page 13.
2. Tap , and slide the Ethernet switch to
ON.
Setting your smart display a hotspot for Wi-Fi connection
If you have other devices that came with wireless connectivity and cannot access any Wi-Fi
network temporarily, you can connect the devices to the Internet using the smart display’s
connectivity.
1. Make sure that your smart display is connected to the Ethernet network. See Connecting
to the Ethernet network on page 27.
2. Tap > Settings > More.
