21 Basic operations
Navigating the menu
• Tap to return to the main Home screen under any circumstances.
• Tap to return to the previous screen or to exit the current application (available in some
applications).
• Tap from Home to access all the installed applications and widgets. Tap the APPS tab for
all applications; tap the WIDGETS tab for all widgets. Available applications and widgets may
vary depending on the product supplied for your region.
• (If available)Tap on the top-right corner of the screen for more options for the current
screen or application.
• Tap > Settings for device settings.
• Depending on the current situation, enable a function by checking the checkbox or slide the
on/off switch to ON ().
Disable a function by unchecking the checkbox or slide the on/off switch to OFF ().
Screen timeout
If the smart display is powered on and is not being operated by touching the screen for a while,
the screen timeout will be activated. The touchscreen backlight will go off to conserve power
and the touchscreen is locked. The system stands by for user input. Press the Power button to
switch on the smart display again.
You also need to unlock the screen. Press the power button, then tap and hold on the
screen and drag it to on the right.
To manually enable screen timeout, press the Power button.
When you use the touchscreen panel, you must follow these instructions:
• Follow normal operation procedures and use proper tools to avoid the damage caused by user errors.
• Touch the panel with your finger to assure normal operation. Any sharp edged or hard objects are prohibited.
Avoid applying excessive activation force or sudden impact on the panel surface.
• Prevent any kind of adhesive applied on the surface.
• Prevent using any kind of chemical solvent, alcohol, acidic or alkali solution.
• Use neutral detergent or silicone oil on a clean soft cloth to clean the panel surface.
