Basic operations
First time startup
After you have connected the smart display to the power, you are ready to power on the smart
display. The first time you power on the smart display, you will be guided through a series of
setup screens. Follow the on-screen instructions or the steps below to start up your smart
display and complete the initial setup.
1. Switch on the smart display as instructed in Switching the smart display on on page 17. Wait
for the smart display to boot up with the BenQ screen. This may take a moment.
2. Tap Start on the screen to begin, and set up the network, date and time, owner
information, and Google Account (required for Google Services) as needed. Or your can
skip some of these steps and complete the setup later.
Using the touchscreen
You can use fingertip (may cause fingerprints on the screen though) to operate on the
touchscreen. The following are some techniques you should know in order to operate the
smart display efficiently.
If you haven’t logged in your Google account, you can still connect to a network and use all the applications
except the Google Services on the smart display.
Tapping
To select an item or perform an action, touch the surface
of the screen.
Moving
Hold and then move the item to be replaced.
