– Remove the magazine clip by pushing on the
button (figure 31).
– Pull the bolt back and block it open the bolt/
slide and lock it into that position by pushing
on the stop button (figure 32).
– Remove the pin-protection spacer for 'dry
firing' (if mounted) (figure 33).
–MP 90S Raise the lever and, from the oppo-
site side of the breech, press on the pin and
at the same time use the lever to turn it
counterclockwise until it is pulled off (figure
34).
–
MP 95E Using the appropriate punch, pull
out the guard retaining pin (figure 34).
– Rotate the trigger guard downwards and ex-
tract it by pulling it (figure 35).
– Grasp the locking head and pull it off (figure
36-37).
– Pull the bolt back until it is free of the
breech's guide slots and pull the bolt off (fig-
ure 38-39).
Once the procedure is completed, the pistol is
completely stripped and ready for maintenance
and/or adjustment operations.
MAINTENANCE OF THE FIREARM
The following list includes the maintenance op-
erations to be performed after each use of the
firearm.
– Strip the pistol (See "Stripping the pistol").
– Clean the barrel.
– Periodically clean powder and residues from
the trigger assembly and then lubricate it
lightly.
– Periodically clean powder and residues
from the bolt assembly and then lubricate it
lightly.
– Reassemble the pistol (See "Assembling the
pistol").
– Make sure there are no projectiles in the
magazine. This is necessary as to avoid risks
connected to leaving the pistol loaded.
– Carefully clean all the outer surface of the
firearm and place it in its case.
Important
We recommend Benelli Armi oil to lubricate
the components of the firearm (figure 40).
