STEP 3
(Column Preparation)
COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING
PRIOR TO RAISING THE COLUMNS
1. Prior to raising posts, slide each carriage upwards to
expose the cylinder port in the base of the hydraulic cyl-
inder and to aid in sheave removal and equalizer cable
routing. (See Fig 3.1)
2. Install a 1/4” NPT straight tting into each cylinder
port using teon tape then temporarily remove the cable
sheaves located at the inside bottom of each Column by
rst removing the hex head bolts, and then by removing
the sheave pin. (See Fig 3.2)
3. Route button end of the cable upwards through the
bottom of the carriage and wrap the cable around the cable
sheave and reinstall sheave by reversing the sheave removal
procedure. Leave excess cable tied together in a coil to car-
riage until further steps are required. (See Fig 3.3 & 3.4)
4. To install optional sheave covers, place sheave cover
on sheave bracket so that the bracket return faces to-
wards the sheave and align pin holes and bolt holes. The
cutout in the bracket for the cable must be facing towards
the base plate. Insert pin through sheave cover, sheave
bracket, and sheave. Align pin bolt hole with sheave
cover bolt hole and sheave bracket bolt hole and insert
M6 hex head bolt and tighten. (See Fig 3.5)
