target waypoint elevation. Select the Target Altitude field to
use the numeric entry keyboard to insert a different value
• Descent Rate: The descent rate is in feet per minute. The
default is 500 feet per minute. Select the Descent Rate field
to use the numeric entry keyboard to insert a different value.
In order to calculate the correct point, the following parameters are
assumed: 1) The rate of descent is constant during the descent. 2)
The groundspeed is constant during the descent.
The descent profile is shown in the following diagrams.

• The TOD functionality is only available when navigating a
Flight Plan or Direct-To.
• The descent target is in the active flight plan or the Direct To
destination.
• The target altitude is entered any time prior to reaching the
target waypoint, including on ground prior to the flight.
• The target altitude is entered as MSL.
