Starting AV8OR 3D in the Aircraft
For best operation, start the AV8OR 3D system after the aircraft power is up and stable. This practice avoi
ds
draining the batt
eries and any problems due to voltage swings.
To start the AV8OR 3D system in the aircraft:
1. Turn on the INU. The blue light flashes to indicate that the Bluetooth device is ready.
2. Start the Samsung and wait for the Windows desktop to appear.
3. Click th
e AV8OR 3D
icon on the Windows desktop.
4. When the USA map appears, click OK.
5. The first time that AV8OR 3D detects the INU, it displays a message with th
e specific INU identifier.
Click Select to tell AV8OR 3D to use t
his INU. After the
first startup, AV8OR 3D expects to find the same
INU as before, and does not
show the INU Select screen again.
6. Once the communication between AV8OR 3D and the INU is est
ablished, the blue light on the INU stays
on. When AV8OR 3D acquires
the GPS signals from multiple satellites, it displays the satellite strengths
as colored bars, and, within a minute or so, displays the split 2D/3D synthetic vision view of your
location.
Note: The heading indication will not be correct until the aircraft starts moving.

provide a backup reference in case of electrical or primary instrument failure.
