6.6 OEM End-of-Line (EOL) Testing
System installation should be verified by the vehicle manufacturer through the
performance of an End-of-Line (EOL) test.
This test should include, but is not limited to, the following:
1) Verification of the TABS6 ECU information:
a) ECU type
b) Part number
c) ABS configuration
d) Tire size
e) Presence of existing faults
2) Verification of the correct installation of all wheel speed sensors. This must include
sensor location, and verification of sensor output.
3) Verification of the proper operation of the trailer-mounted ABS warning lamp.
4) Verification of an acceptable PLC signal is present on the ignition power line for
proper operation of the in-dash (PLC) ABS warning lamp.
5) Verification of the correct installation of all MRVs. This must include MRV location,
and proper wiring between the ECU and the MRV (hold and release wires not
reversed on a MRV, for example).
6) Verification of proper battery voltage and ground inputs to the TABS6 ECU.
7) Inputting of Scratch Pad data:
a) OEM name
b) Plant location
c) VIN
d) EOL date and time
e) Vehicle manufacturing date
f) Technician
The vehicle OEM should clear the active and inactive fault memory of the TABS6 ECU at
the end of the EOL test, and verify that no faults exist.
It is recommended that the vehicle OEM saves a report of each EOL test performed for
future reference.
