6 Installation
6.1 TABS6 Trailer ABS Assembly Mounting
The TABS6 Trailer ABS assembly can be installed either on the reservoir or on the frame
rail. For both the reservoir mount or frame mount configurations, the exhaust port of the
relay valve must face downwards.
6.1.1 Reservoir Mount Configuration
The TABS6 can be mounted using a ¾" heavy wall steel nipple, directly between
the reservoir and the supply port.
6.1.1.1 Pipe Fitting Torque's
Refer to the following torque specifications when installing pipe nipples. Torque's
are for NPT threads with thread sealant applied. Do not use thread tape.
Contamination by thread tape can cause component failure. Tighten pipe nipples
as follows:
• With Thread Sealant - Finger tight plus 1-1/2 turns
• Without Thread Sealant - Finger tight plus 2 turns
