5.4.4 Blink Code Diagnostics – Diagnostic Troubleshooting Code (DTC)
For retrieving fault codes, the TABS6 blink code diagnostics is activated by
cycling the brake lamp input three (3) times for active faults or four (4) times for
inactive faults.
With TABS6 powered and the blink code diagnostics activated for active or
inactive fault diagnostic code retrieval, the fault flash code is displayed by the
trailer-mounted ABS warning lamp as shown in the following table.

• Verify proper mounting of exciter ring and condition of
teeth.
• Check wheel bearings for correct adjustment.
• Verify sensor lead routing and clamping.

between the ECU and the WSS.
• Check the air gap between the sensor and pole wheel,
pushing-in sensor(s) if needed.
• Rotate wheel and verify a min. of 0.25 VAC sensor
output @ ~ 0.5 RPS.
• Verify condition of sensor head.
• Verify condition and retention of clamping sleeve.
• Verify proper mounting of exciter ring and condition of
teeth.
• Check wheel bearings for correct adjustment.
