3.1.14 Odometer Functions
3.1.14.1 Odometer
The TABS6 includes an Odometer function to provide a means
of storing the accumulated mileage of the vehicle. The mileage is
computed by utilizing information calculated from the vehicle
wheel speeds. This feature has a resolution of 0.62 miles (1.0-
Km) per power-up and will store the mileage up to 10,000,000
miles (16,700,000 Km). The mileage can be displayed using the
PC-diagnostics or through blink codes.
When the TABS6 is power supplied only with the brake lamp
power (towed with pre-1997 tractors), the electronic odometer
does not function, and the mileage can be considered out-of-
calibration.
3.1.14.2 Trip Counter
The TABS6 provides a counter to record the trip mileage. The
feature is accessed through PC or hand-held tools diagnostic
tools.
3.1.14.3 Service Interval
The TABS6 provides a feature to indicate a service interval for
the trailer. The service interval can be assessed via PC or hand-
held tools diagnostic tools. If configured, the TABS6 can flash
the warning light with the vehicle at standstill to indicate when
the service interval has been exceeded.
