3.1.12 Auxiliary Design Language (ADL)
The TABS6 Auxiliary Design Language (ADL) features allows customized
auxiliary functions to be developed and downloaded at the production line or in
the field, to control non-braking functions of the trailer. ADL reads/controls the
TABS6 auxiliary I/O’s and/or the SAE J1587 diagnostics and SAE J2497 PLC
data links. Refer to Section 3.1.9 for available auxiliary ECU pins and
capabilities. Figure 5 presents some potential trailer applications that can be
achieved with ADL.

3.1.13 Customer Scratch Pad
The TABS6 includes Customer Scratch Pad feature in the EEPROM to provide
up to 756 bytes total of data, freely definable by the customer or end-user. The
scratch pad feature can be accessed using the Bendix
®
ACOM™ Diagnostic
Software (version 3.0 or higher) as described in Section 5.5.3.
If additional scratch pad space is needed, a configuration bit can be set to
include additional area of 252 bytes of data (1,008 bytes total of data). Contact
