funct ionalit y of inadequat ely protect ed m edical
dev ices. Consult a physician or the m anufact urer
of t he m edical device to det erm ine if t hey are
adequately shielded fr om external RF energy or if
you have any quest ions. Swit ch off your phone
in health care facilit ies when any regulat ions
post ed in these areas instruct you to do so.
Hospitals or healt h care facilit ies m ay be using

Swit ch off your phone w hen in any area wit h a
pot ent ially explosive at m osphere and obey all
signs and inst ruct ions. Spark s in such areas
could cause an ex plosion or fire r esult ing in
bodily inj ury or even death.
Users are advised t o swit ch off t he phone w hile
at a refueling point ( ser vice st at ion) . Users are
rem inded of the need to observe restrict ions on
the use of radio equipm ent in fuel depot s (fuel
st orage and dist ribution areas) , chem ical plant s
or w here blast ing operations are in progress.
Areas w it h a potentially ex plosive at m osphere
are often but not always clear ly m ar ked. They
include below deck on boat s; chem ical transfer
or st orage facilities; vehicles using liquefied
pet roleum gas ( such as propane or butane) ;
areas where t he air cont ains chem icals or
part icles, such as grain, dust or m etal pow ders;
and any other area where you would norm ally be
advised t o t urn off your vehicle engine.

or inst all t he phone in a vehicle. Fault y
installation or service m ay be dangerous and m ay

unit .
Check regularly t hat all m obile phone equipm ent
on your vehicle is m ount ed and oper at ing
pr operly.
Do not st ore or carry flam m able liquids, gases or
explosive m at erials in t he sam e com part m ent as
the phone, its parts or accessories.
For vehicles equipped w it h an air bag, r em em ber
that an air bag inflat es w it h great force. Do not
