I f you key in an incorr ect PI N2 code t hree t im es
in succession, key in t he PUK2 code and press
SELECT key in a new PI N2 code and press
SELECT Key
in t he new code again and press SELECT.
PUK code
The PUK ( Personal Unblocking Key) code is
requir ed to change a blocked PI N code. The PUK
code m ay be supplied with the SI M card. I f not ,
contact your local serv ice provider for t he code.
I f you key in an incorrect PUK code ten tim es in
succession, t he SI M card cannot be used
anym ore. Cont act your service prov ider for a
new card.
You cannot change t he PUK code. I f you lose the
code, contact your service provider.
PUK2 code
The PUK2 code, supplied with som e SI M cards, is
requir ed to change a blocked PI N2 code.
I f you key in an incorr ect PUK2 code t en t im es in
succession, y ou cannot use t he functions
requir ing t he PI N2 code. Cont act your service
pr ovider for a new card.
You cannot change t he PUK2 code. I f you lose
the code, cont act y our service provider .
Ba rr ing Pa ssw ord
The 4- digit barr ing password is required when
you use t he Call Barring funct ion. You obt ain t he
password from y our service provider when you
subscribe t o t his function.
Using t he Bat t eries
Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li- ion
st andar d battery.

Never use any charger or battery that is
dam aged in any way.
Use t he bat t ery only for it s int ended purpose.
I f you use t he phone near t he net w ork s base
st at ion, it uses less power; talk and st andby
tim es are great ly affect ed by t he signal st rength
on t he cellular networ k and t he param eters set
by t he net work operator.
Battery char ging t im es depend on t he
rem aining bat t ery charge and t he t ype of batt ery
and char ger used. The bat t ery can be charged
and discharged hundreds of t im es, but it will
gr adually wear out . When t he operat ion t im e
( t alk tim e and standby t im e) is not iceably
short er than norm al, it is tim e t o buy a new
battery.
I f left unused, a fully charged battery will
discharge it self over t im e.
Use only approved bat t eries and r echarge your
battery only with appr oved charger s. When a
char ger is not in use, disconnect it from t he
power source. Do not leave t he bat t er y
connect ed t o a char ger for m ore t han a week,
since overchar ging m ay shorten it s life.
Extrem e t em perat ures will affect t he charging
capacit y of your bat t ery : it m ay require cooling
or w arm ing first.
Do not leave t he bat t ery in hot or cold places,
such as in a car in sum m er or w int er condit ions,
as you will reduce the capacit y and life-t im e of
