Access Codes
There are several access codes t hat are used by
your phone and it s SI M card. These codes help
you prot ect the phone against unaut horized use.
Phone Passw ord
The securit y code can be used t o avoid
unaut hor ized use of your phone. The security
code 0000 is usually supplied w it h t he phone.
Change t he secur it y code before y ou st art using
your phone. Keep t he new code secr et and in a
safe place, which is separat e fr om t he phone.
I f you key in an incorr ect security code five t im es
in succession, t he phone w ill not accept t he
correct code for the next five m inutes.
PI N code
The PI N ( Personal I dent ification Num ber) code
pr ot ect s your SI M card against unauthorized use.
The PI N code is usually supplied wit h t he SI M
car d. When t he PI N code request is enabled
( Menu 6- 6) , t he code is asked each t im e t he
phone is sw it ched on.
I f you key in an incorr ect PI N code t hree t im es in
succession, k ey in the PUK code and pr ess
SELECT.
Key in a new PI N code and pr ess SELECT . Key in
the
new code again and pr ess SELECT.
PI N 2 code
The PI N2 code, supplied with som e SI M cards, is
requir ed to access som e funct ions, such as
char ging unit count er s. These funct ions are only
available if suppor t ed by your SI M card.
