- Once for t he first charact er

For ex am ple, y ou press the 2 key t hree tim es
quick ly to display t he charact er “ C” , the 5 key
two tim es quickly t o display t he charact er “ L” .
So, this m et hod is called Mult i- t ap t yping.
The cursor m oves t o t he right when you press a
different k ey. When ent ering the sam e char acter
twice ( or a different charact er on t he sam e key) ,
j ust w ait for a few seconds for t he cursor t o m ov e
right autom at ically, and t hen select the
next charact er.

char acters assigned on each key.

To shift t he case of t he next charact er ( s) that
you t y pe, press t he # key one or m or e t im es.
There are t wo shift states:
Lower Case is indicat ed by abc in t he display,
and Capit als Lock is indicat ed by ABC.
Scrolling
• To v iew your m essage w it hout m oving t he
cursor, press t he volum e keys on t he left side
of t he phone.
• To m ove t he cursor left or right t hrough your
text m essage, pr ess t he < or > key.
Clear ing St roke s a n d Chara ct ers
Press t he Ba ck soft key one or m ore t im es t o
rem ove charact ers from t he Text Area.
N um ber M ode
Num ber m ode is indicat ed by 1 2 3. I t enables you
to ent er num bers into a t ext m essage. Press key s
corresponding t o the desir ed digit s, and m anually
swit ch back to t he t ext entry m ode of choice.
Sym bol M ode
Sym bolic m ode enables y ou t o enter sym bols int o
a t ext m essage.
To scroll through the sym bols available, press t he
All Navigation Key( t he volum e key on t he left
side of t he phone) . Press t he keys corresponding
to t he desir ed m ark, then t he phone
aut om atically switches back to the t ext ent r y
m ode used j ust prior to selecting Sym bols m ode.
