Cell Broadcast m essages are t ext m essages
br oadcast ed by t he network t o groups of GSM
phone users. They provide general infor m at ion
such as weat her report s, t raffic news, and st ock
m arket prices. Each t ype of inform ation has an
associat ed inform at ion type num ber.
When you receive broadcast m essage, it is
aut om atically displayed on the screen. I f t he
m essage is so long and cannot display all in a
screen, scroll t hr ough it by pressing t he
< Navigat ion Up> or < Navigat ion Dow n> k ey.
Your phone will st ore it until a new m essage of
the channel is reached.
The following opt ions are available.
Act iva t e : allows you t o enable or disable the
reception of br oadcast m essages. Select ACtivate
to r eceive t he broadcast m essages or Deact ivat e
not t o do.
Re a d: let s you view t he last received m essages.
N EW : allow s y ou t o indicat e t he channels from
which you wish t o receive broadcast m essages by
adding the CB m essage cat egor y in the phone or
SI M m em ory.
Several opt ions are available.
LI ST: View t he channel from t he list
Delet e: used t o r em ove a channel from t he list by
< Right > key.
CB Aler t : allows you to set how m any t im es and
how oft en t he phone alert s you t he incom ing
CB m essages. I f you do not want to be aler t ed,
select OFF. I f you select One Tim e, t he phone
will alert y ou j ust one t im e w hen a m essages
com es in. I f you select Periodic, t he phone will
alert you at every predefined t im es.

Using this m enu, you can list en t o your voice
Messages.

allows you t o store or change t he num ber of your
Voice m essage cent r e required w hen list ening to
your voice messages. You m ust obt ain t his num ber
from your ser vice provider.
