I n M e ssage
I n Message st ores t he m essages that you have
received.
When you received a new m essage, ‘ R eceived
Message’ and New m essage icon ( ) appears in
display.
To read the m essage im m ediat ely , press t he
SELECT soft key.
Once you ent er t his m enu, y ou can see the last
received m essage. Scroll t o t he desired m essage
by using the < Navigat ion Left > or < Navigat ion
Right > key scan t hr ough t he m essage by
pr essing t he < Navigation Up> or < Navigation
Down> key.
Press t he Opt soft key to use the following
opt ions.
While viewing a m essage, you can choose t he
following opt ions, by pressing t he Opt soft key:
Re ply: allows you t o send a reply m essage to t he
sender.
Forw a r d: allows you to forwar d the select ed
m essage t o anot her phone num ber .
Ex t r a ct N um ber: ext ract s a num ber fr om t he
m essage if it has, so t hat you can call the
num ber or save it in t he Phonebook.
Dele t e: allows you to delet e t he select ed
m essage.
Dele t e All: delet es all m essages stored in Out
Message.
When a confir m ing m essage appear s, pr ess t he
SELECT soft key t o rem ove t hem or t he Ba ck
soft key t o cancel delet ing.
Mem or y St a t us
This m enu show s you t he st at us of m em ory for
m essages regardless of Out Message or I n
Message. You can see t he num ber of t he st ored
m essages and t he t ot al num ber of t he m essage
the phone can st ore.
Se t t ing
Via this m enu, you can set up default SMS
infor m at ion.
The following options are available:
service Cent : allow s you t o st ore or change t he
num ber of your SMS cent re required when
sending m essages. You m ust obt ain this num ber
from your ser vice provider.
Va lidit y: allows you t o set the lengt h of t im e for
which your t ext m essag es will be stored at the
m essage cent re while at t em pt s are m ade t o
deliver t hem t o you. 1 hour , 6 hours, 12 hours,
1 day, 2 days, 1 w eek, and Max are av ailable.
Select ing Max st ores t he m essage as long as
defined in SMS cent er.
SMS Alert : allows you t o set how m any t im es
and how oft en t he phone alerts you t he incom ing
m essages. I f y ou do not want t o be alerted,
select OFF. I f you select One Tim e, t he phone will
alert you j ust one t im e when a m essages com es
in. I f you select Periodic, t he phone w ill alert you
at ever y predefined tim es.
St a t us Repor t : allow s you t o act ivat e or
deact ivat e t he report funct ion. When t his funct ion
is act ivat ed, t he net work inform s you whet her
your m essage has been delivered or not .
When you receiv e St at us Report, it is
