Messa ges
The SMS ( Short Message Service) funct ion is a
net work service and m ay not be support ed by
your net work.
Messages can be sent by t ext, e- m ail and paging
m essaging syst em s, provided t hat these services
are support ed by y our network. To send text
m essages by phone, you m ust obt ain the num ber
of t he SMS cent re fr om your serv ice prov ider.
Your phone can store up t o 20 incom ing and
out going m essages. I f the m essage m em ory is
full, an err or m essage is displayed and you
cannot receive or save any new m essages. I f
then, you should delet e obsolete m essages in [ I n
Messa ge] m enu in [ Messa ge] .
To access t he Messages m enu, press t he key
in Standby m ode.
W rit e M e ssa ge s
Via this m enu, you can writ e t ext m essages of
up t o 160 alphanum er ic charact ers and for
Chinese 70 charact ers ar e allowed.
1. When accessing t his m enu, t he follow ing
opt ions are available.
• Sen d: sends t he m essage im m ediately.
Enter t he m essage and then input a num ber
or search t he st ored num ber
• Save : allows you t o save t he m essage so
that it can be sent lat er. You can read t he
m essage in your Out Message.
2. Creat e t he m essage as needed. For further
det ails on how t o ent er t ext , see below. See
[ Ezi Text I nput ] .
3. I nput t he full num ber, press Se lect soft key
or You can also find t he st ored num ber by
pr essing Se arch key and t hen use
< Navigat ion Up / Down> key. I f you find out
the num ber, press SELECT soft key
4. Before sending t he m essage, the phone will
check t he SMS Center num ber. I f t he num ber is
not stored, y ou can send t he m essage after
input t ing t he num ber.
Out Messa ge
Out Message st ores t he m essages t hat y ou hav e
already sent or will send.
When you ent er t his m enu, you can see t he first
st ored m essage. Scr oll t o t he desired m essage by
using t he < Navigat ion Left or Right > key and
scan t hrough the m essage by pressing t he
< Navigat ion Up> or < Navigat ion Down> k ey.
Press t he Edit soft key to edit t he m essage t ext
or use t he opt ions.
While viewing a m essage, you can choose t he
following opt ions, by pressing t he Opt soft key:
Send: sends the select ed m essage.
Save: sav es t he select ed m essage if y ou hav e
changed.
Ex t r a ct N um ber: ext ract s a num ber fr om t he
m essage if it has, so t hat you can call t he
num ber or save it in t he Phonebook.
Dele t e: delet es t he select ed m essage from
Out Message.
Dele t e All: delet es all m essages stored in
Out Message. When a confirm ing m essage
appears, press t he SELECT soft key to rem ov e
them or t he Ba ck soft key to cancel delet ing.
