Get t ing Start ed
I nst alling a SI M Card
When you subscr ibe t o a m obile network, you
are provided wit h a plug-in SI M card loaded wit h
your subscript ion det ails ( PI N, opt ional services
available and so on).
1. I f necessary, swit ch t he phone off t o press
and hold down the < End: Power> key.
2. Rem ove t he battery. To do so:
① After pushing the lock button, pull t he bat t ery
cover t ow ard out side.
② Lift the bat t ery away, as shown.
3. I nsert the SI M card ensuring that t he cut
corner is at the t op right and t he gold cont act s
of the card face int o t he phone.
4. Reinst all the battery. To do so:
① Place the bat t ery so that t he t abs on it align
to t he connect or s at t he inside of t he phone.
② Close t he bat t ery cover until it clicks int o
place. Make sure that t he bat tery is proper ly
installed befor e swit ching on t he phone.
Charging a Bat t ery
Your phone is power ed by a rechargeable Li- ion
bat t ery.
A t r avel adapt er and a desktop charger are
provided with your phone. Use only approved
bat t eries and charger s. Ask your local dealer for
further det ails.

N ot e : You m ust fully charge t he bat ter y before using
your phone for t he fir st t im e. The phone can be
used while t he bat t ery is charging.

Cha rging t he Ba t t ery Alone
To char ge t he battery alone, use t he desktop
char ger unit .
1. Open the cover of t he desktop charger .
2. I nsert the bat t ery alone int o the slot m aking
sure t hat t he t erm inals on t he battery contact
to t he ter m inals on t he slot .
3. Push down t he battery unt il you hear a click.
4. I nsert the lead of t he t ravel adapt er int o t he
connect or sock et of t he desktop charger.
5. Connect the adapt er t o a st andar d AC wall
out let .
6. The color indicat ion of t he LED on t he char ger
is as follow s:
• Red : char ging
• Blue : fully charged
7. When charging is finished ( t he LED turns in
green), unplug t he power cord of t he adapt er
from the AC out let and rem ove t he bat t ery
from the charger.
Cha rging t he Ba t t ery w it h t he
Phone
You can use t he phone while charging by
char ging the bat t ery at t ached t o t he phone.
1. Wit h t he bat t er y in posit ion on the phone,
connect the lead from the travel adapt er t o
the connect or at t he bottom of the phone.
2. Connect the charger to a st andar d AC wall
out let .
3. When charging is finished ( t he LED turns in
green) , disconnect the adapt er from t he pow er
out let and from t he phone.
