Operat ion of any radio t r ansm it t ing equipm ent,
including cellular phones, m ay int er fere wit h t he
functionalit y of inadequat ely prot ect ed m edical
devices. Consult a physician or t he m anufact urer
of the m edical device t o det erm ine if t hey are
adequat ely shielded from external RF energy or if
you have any quest ions. Switch off your phone
in healt h car e facilit ies when any regulat ions
post ed in these areas inst ruct y ou t o do so.
Hospit als or healt h care facilit ies m ay be using
equipm ent t hat could be sensit ive t o ex t ernal RF
ener gy.
Vehicles
RF signals m ay affect im proper ly installed or
inadequat ely shielded electronic syst em s in

Pot ent ially Explosive
At m ospheres
Swit ch off your phone w hen in any area wit h a
pot entially explosive at m osphere and obey all
signs and inst ruct ions. Sparks in such areas
could cause an explosion or fire result ing in
bodily inj ury or even death.
Users ar e advised t o swit ch off t he phone while
at a refueling point ( service st at ion). Users are
rem inded of t he need t o obser ve rest rict ions on
the use of r adio equipm ent in fuel depot s ( fuel
st orage and dist r ibution areas) , chem ical plant s
or where blast ing operations ar e in progress.
Areas wit h a pot ent ially ex plosive at m ospher e
are often but not always clearly m arked. They
include below deck on boat s; chem ical t ransfer
or st orage facilit ies; vehicles using liquefied
pet roleum gas (such as propane or butane) ;
areas where the air cont ains chem icals or
particles, such as grain, dust or m etal pow ders;
and any ot her area w her e you would norm ally be
advised to t urn off your v ehicle engine.

Only qualified personnel should service t he phone,
or inst all the phone in a vehicle. Fault y
installation or ser vice m ay be dangerous and m ay
invalidat e any war rant y w hich m ay apply t o the
unit .
Check regularly that all m obile phone equipm ent
on your vehicle is m ount ed and operat ing
proper ly.
Do not st or e or car ry flam m able liquids, gases or
explosive m at erials in t he sam e com partm ent as
the phone, it s parts or accessories.
