Acce ss Codes
There are several access codes t hat are used by
your phone and it s SI M card. These codes help
you prot ect t he phone against unaut horized use.
Phone Passw ord
The securit y code can be used t o avoid
unaut horized use of your phone. The securit y
code 0000 is usually supplied wit h t he phone.
Change t he security code before you st ar t using
your phone. Keep t he new code secr et and in a
safe place, which is separat e from the phone.
I f y ou key in an incorrect securit y code five tim es
in succession, t he phone will not accept t he
correct code for t he next five m inutes.
PI N code
The PI N ( Personal I dent ificat ion Num ber) code
prot ect s your SI M card against unaut horized use.
The PI N code is usually supplied wit h the SI M
card. When t he PI N code request is enabled
( Menu 6- 6) , t he code is ask ed each t im e the
phone is switched on.
I f y ou key in an incorrect PI N code t hree t im es in
succession, key in the PUK code and press
SELECT.
Key in a new PI N code and press SELECT. Key in
the
new code again and press SELECT.
PI N 2 code
The PI N2 code, supplied wit h som e SI M car ds, is
required to access som e funct ions, such as
char ging unit counters. These funct ions ar e only
available if supported by your SI M card.
