Cell Br oadcast
Cell Broadcast m essages are t ext m essages
broadcasted by t he net work t o groups of GSM
phone users. They provide general inform ation
such as weather reports, t r affic news, and st ock
m arket pr ices. Each t ype of inform at ion has an
associat ed inform at ion type num ber.
When you receive broadcast m essage, it is
aut om at ically displayed on t he screen. I f the
m essage is so long and cannot display all in a
screen, scroll t hr ough it by pressing the
< Navigat ion Up> or < Navigat ion Down> k ey.
Your phone will st or e it until a new m essage of
the channel is reached.
The following opt ions are available.
Act iv at e: allows you to enable or disable the
reception of broadcast m essages. Select ACtivat e
to receive the broadcast m essages or Deact ivat e
not t o do.
Re a d: lets you v iew t he last received m essages.
N EW : allows you to indicat e the channels from
which you wish to receive broadcast m essages by
adding t he CB m essage cat egory in the phone or
SI M m em ory.
Several opt ions ar e available.
LI ST: View t he channel fr om t he list
Delet e: used t o rem ove a channel fr om t he list by
< Right> key.
CB Ale r t : allows you to set how m any t im es and
how oft en t he phone alerts you t he incom ing
CB m essages. I f y ou do not want t o be aler t ed,
select OFF. I f you select One Tim e, t he phone
will alert you j ust one tim e w hen a m essages
com es in. I f you select Per iodic, the phone will
alert y ou at every predefined t im es.

Using t his m enu, you can list en t o your voice
Messages.
