Low Bat t e ry I ndicat or
When t he bat t ery charge level gets low, you can
see an em pt y batt ery icon at t he t op right of the
display and a tex t not ificat ion.

I f t he bat t ery level get s t oo low, t he phone w ill
turn off autom at ically. Unfortunat ely, if this
happens, you’ ll lose w hatever you are doing,
including dr opping your call. Watch t he battery
st rengt h icon and m ake sure your bat t er y is
adequately char ged.
Sw it ching the Phone
On/ Off
1. Flip up the phone.
2. Press and hold down t he < End: Pow er> key for
m ore t han one second t o swit ch the phone on.
3. I f t he phone asks for a password, ent er t he
passw ord. For details on t he phone password,
see Password
4. I f PI N code request of your SI M card is
enabled, your phone asks you t o ent er t he PI N
code. Ent er the PI N code, then your phone
connect s t o t he GSM network .
The 3 light s on the cover of t he phone flashes,
and an alert sounds. When t he syst em locat es
ser vices, you can see the following idle scr eens
on the m ain and fr ont LCD respect ively.
I f t he phone is out of service, t he < Call> icon
and ‘ No Service’ appear in t he display. I n t his
case, you cannot place and receive calls. You
can t ry again lat er when service is av ailable.
5. When y ou w ish t o swit ch the phone off, hold
down t he< End: Pow er> k ey for m ore than two
seconds

is pr ohibit ed or w hen it m ay cause int erfer ence or
danger .
Your Phone’ s M ode
St an dby M ode
St andby is the m ost basic st at e of your phone.
The phone goes int o Standby m ode soon aft er
you tur n it on, or whenev er you briefly pr ess
the< End: Power> key. When your phone is in
St andby m ode, you will typically see t he current
dat e and tim e.
I f y ou ent er a phone num ber, you can press
the< Send> key t o dial it, or press t he Sa ve soft
key to save it in the int ernal Phonebook.
Press t he < End: Power> key at any t im e t o
return t o St andby m ode. Be careful; if you are on
a call when you pr ess the < End: Power> key,
you will return t o Standby m ode, but it also
disconnect s t he call.
Press t he Clr or Ba ck soft key several tim es or
hold it down t o ret urn t o St andby m ode without
ending the call.
Talk M ode
You can place and answer calls only when your
phone is t ur ned on. During a call, t he phone is in
Talk m ode. While you are in Talk m ode, pressing
< Soft Left k ey> gives y ou a list of opt ions
referred t o as “ I n- Call Opt ions.”
