Swit ch off your phone w hen in any area wit h a
pot entially explosive at m osphere and obey all
signs and inst ruct ions. Sparks in such areas
could cause an explosion or fir e result ing in
bodily inj ury or even deat h.
Users ar e advised t o swit ch off t he phone while
at a refueling point ( serv ice st at ion). User s are
rem inded of t he need t o obser ve rest rict ions on
the use of radio equipm ent in fuel depot s ( fuel
st orage and dist r ibution areas) , chem ical plant s
or where blast ing operat ions are in progress.
Areas wit h a pot ent ially explosive at m osphere
are often but not alw ays clearly m ark ed. They
include below deck on boat s; chem ical t ransfer
or st orage facilit ies; vehicles using liquefied
pet roleum gas ( such as pr opane or butane) ;
areas where the air cont ains chem icals or
particles, such as grain, dust or m et al powders;
and any ot her area w her e you would norm ally be
advised t o t ur n off your vehicle engine.

Only qualified personnel should service the phone,
or inst all the phone in a vehicle. Fault y
installation or ser vice m ay be danger ous and m ay
invalidat e any war rant y which m ay apply to t he
unit .
Check regularly that all m obile phone equipm ent
on your vehicle is m ounted and operat ing
proper ly.
Do not st or e or carr y flam m able liquids, gases or
explosive m at erials in the sam e com partm ent as
the phone, it s par t s or accessories.
For vehicles equipped with an air bag, rem em ber
that an air bag inflat es w it h great force. Do not
place obj ect s, including both inst alled or portable
wireless equipm ent in t he area over t he air bag
or in t he air bag deploym ent area. I f in- vehicle
wireless equipm ent is im proper ly installed and
the air bag inflates, serious inj ury could result.

The use of m obile phones in an aircraft m ay be
dangerous t o the operat ion of t he aircraft , disrupt
the w ir eless t elephone network and m ay be
illegal.
Failure t o observe t hese inst ruct ions m ay lead t o
the suspension or denial of t elephone ser vices t o
the offender , or legal action, or bot h.

net works as well as user program m ed funct ions
which cannot guarantee connect ion in all
condit ions. Therefore, you should never rely
solely upon any wireless phone for essential
com m unicat ions ( for exam ple, m edical
em er gencies) .
Rem em ber, to m ake or receive any calls t he
phone m ust be swit ched on and in a service area
wit h adequat e signal st rengt h. Em ergency calls
m ay not be possible on all wireless phone
net w ork s or w hen cer t ain net w or k services
and/ or phone feat ures are in use. Check wit h
local service providers.

2. Key in t he em ergency num ber for y our pr esent
locat ion (for exam ple, 911 or other official
em er gency num ber) . Em ergency num ber s vary
