I nform a t ion
Acce ss Codes
There are sever al access codes t hat ar e used by
your phone and it s SI M card. These codes help
you prot ect t he phone against unaut horized use.
Phone Passw ord
The securit y code can be used to avoid
unaut horized use of your phone. The securit y
code 0000 is usually supplied wit h the phone.
Change the securit y code before you st art using
your phone. Keep t he new code secret and in a
safe place, which is separat e from t he phone.
I f y ou key in an incor rect securit y code five tim es
in succession, t he phone will not accept t he
correct code for t he nex t five m inut es.
PI N code
The PI N ( Per sonal I dentification Num ber) code
prot ect s your SI M car d against unaut horized use.
The PI N code is usually supplied wit h the SI M
card. When t he PI N code request is enabled
( Menu 6- 6) , t he code is asked each t im e the
phone is switched on.
I f y ou key in an incor rect PI N code three t im es in
succession, key in the PUK code and pr ess OK.
Key in a new PI N code and pr ess OK. Key in t he
new code again and press OK.
PI N 2 code
The PI N2 code, supplied wit h som e SI M cards, is
required to access som e funct ions, such as
char ging unit counters. These funct ions are only
available if supported by your SI M card.
I f y ou key in an incor rect PI N2 code t hree tim es
in succession, key in t he PUK2 code and press
OK key in a new PI N2 code and pr ess OK Key
in t he new code again and pr ess OK.
PUK code
The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is
required to change a blocked PI N code. The PUK
code m ay be supplied wit h t he SI M card. I f not ,
cont act y our local service provider for t he code.
I f y ou key in an incor rect PUK code ten tim es in
succession, t he SI M card cannot be used
anym ore. Cont act y our service provider for a
new card.
You cannot change the PUK code. I f y ou lose the
code, cont act y our service provider.
PUK2 code
The PUK2 code, supplied wit h som e SI M cards, is
required to change a blocked PI N2 code.
I f y ou key in an incor rect PUK2 code t en tim es in
succession, you cannot use t he funct ions
requiring t he PI N2 code. Contact your service
provider for a new car d.
You cannot change the PUK2 code. I f y ou lose
the code, cont act your service prov ider.
Ba rring Passw or d
The 4-digit barring password is required when
you use the Call Barring funct ion. You obt ain the
passw ord from your serv ice prov ider w hen y ou
subscr ibe t o t his funct ion.
Using the Ba t te ries
Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li- ion
st andar d battery.
