Installing Your Cooker
Connecting the electricity supply
Terminal Block - type A
WARNING: THIS
APPLIANCE MUST BE
EARTHED!
Equipment you will need:
Flat bladed screw driver
Warning: If the supply
cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the
manufacturer or its
service agent or a
similarly qualified person
in order to avoid a hazard.
Access to the mains terminal is gained by opening the
terminal block cover at the rear of the appliance - use
a flat bladed screw driver for this.
Connection between the consumer unit (45A
MCB/Fuse) and the cooker
control unit should be made with 10mm
2
cable.
Connection between the cooker control unit and the
appliance should be made with a 6.0mm
2
twin and
earth cable.
First strip the wires. Then push the cable through the
cable clamping the terminal block cover.
Connect the cable to the terminal block and tighten the
cable clamp screw - see diagram.
Close the terminal box, ensuring that the cover is
engaged on the locking tabs.

For your own safety, we recommend that your cooker
be installed by an authorised person. The cooker should
be installed in accordance with AS/NZS 3000:2007.
Ensure that you route all mains electrical cables well
clear of any adjacent heat source, such as an oven
or grill.
Where a fixed connection is used, a device allowing
the appliance to be isolated on all poles from the mains
supply with a contact opening width of at least 3mm
must be provided.
After connection to the electricity please check that all
electrical parts are working.
The maximum power rating is specified in the Technical
Data section of this handbook, and also on the Data
Badge on the appliance.
Sufficient cable should be used to allow the cooker to
be pulled out, but must hang clear of the floor so it
does not become twisted or trapped when the cooker
is pushed back.
