IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS HEATER NOTE: There may be a trace of smoke or odour when unit is first operated. Do not be alarmed. This indicates that a drop of oil fell on the heating coil during the manufacturing process. It will quickly evaporate and should not re-occur. Make sure that the room in which the appliance is located is well ventilated during this operation.
21. Check that neither the appliance nor the power cable has been damaged in any way during transportation. 22. Make sure that no pieces of polystyrene or other packaging material have been left between one element of the appliance and another. It may be necessary to pass over the appliance with a vacuum cleaner. 23. When switching on the appliance for the first time, allow it to run at full power for about two hours to get rid of the unpleasant smell, common in new appliances.

For ease of assembly, turn the heater upside down on a soft surface which will not scratch the unit. Use one hand to hold it in place. 3.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS To operate, connect to a properly polarized outlet only. Ensure the unit is in the OFF position. Match wide blade of plug to wide slot and fully insert. Be sure to plug into a 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Note: When the heater is plugged in, the power indicator will be illuminated until it is turned off and unplugged.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Before any cleaning, make sure that: 1. The heater is turned OFF. 2. Disconnect power supply at source by removing plug from power outlet. 3. The heater is now ready for cleaning. Regular Cleaning: 1. Prepare a mild detergent-water solution. Do not use cleaning liquid or other chemicals to spray on the unit. 2. Use a clean, soft and lightly damp cloth to gently wipe off the dirt from the surface of the unit only. 3. Do not attempt to open the heater to clean it.
TROUBLESHOOTING If your heater fails to operate, please follow these procedures before contacting customer services: Problem The heater will not power on. Probable Cause Solution The Thermal Cut-Off has been activated Unplug and turn the heater off; allow it to cool for 20-3 minutes. Once the heater has cooled off, check to make sure that there are no objects on or adjacent to the unit. To resume operation, plug the unit back in. For more information, refer to page 6.

CONSIGNES IMPORTANTES VEUILLEZ LIRE TOUTES LES CONSIGNES AVANT D’UTILISER LE PRÉSENT RADIATEUR NOTE: Il se peut que l’appareil produise un peu de fumée ou une odeur au moment de le faire fonctionner pour la première fois. Ne vous inquiétez surtout pas. Cela signifie tout simplement qu’une goutte d’huile est tombée sur le serpentin de réchauffage au cours du procédé de fabrication. Celle-ci disparaîtra et la situation ne devrait plus se répéter.
13. Pour prévenir le risque d’incendie, évitez de boucher les entrées et les sorties d’air de quelle que façon qu’il soit. Évitez de faire fonctionner l’appareil sur les surfaces moelleuses, tel qu’un lit, ce qui pourrait obstruer les ouvertures. 14. DIRECTIVES SUR LE FONCTIONNEMENT Pour faire fonctionner l’appareil, branchez-le uniquement dans une prise convenablement polarisée. S’assurer que l’appareil se situe à la position « OFF ». Jumelez la lame épaisse de la fiche à la grosse ouverture de la prise et enfoncez la fiche jusqu’au bout. S’assurer de brancher dans une prise 120V AC, 60Hz.
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN Avant de nettoyer, s’assurer que : 1. Le radiateur est en arrêt. 2. Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation de sa source d’alimentation en le retirant de la prise. 3. Votre radiateur est maintenant prêt à nettoyer. Nettoyage régulier : 1. Préparez une solution avec de l’eau et un détergent doux. Évitez d’utiliser des nettoyants liquides et d’autres produits chimiques pour vaporiser sur l’appareil. 2.
DÉPANNAGE Si votre radiateur ne fonctionne pas, veuillez suivre les étapes suivantes avant de communiquer avec le service à la clientèle : Problème Cause probable Solution Le coupe-circuit thermique a été actionné. Le radiateur n’entre pas en fonction. Le radiateur n’est pas branché dans une prise polarisée 120V. Le coupe-circuit/fusible a été déclenché. Le voyant de mise en marche est illuminé mais l’appareil ne produit pas de chaleur. Le radiateur produit une odeur de brûlé.
