Model Z-1
Single Zone Controller
Furnish and install zone pump controller(s) as shown on plans. The
controller(s) shall be UL listed and suitable for operation of
circulator pump(s). Controller shall include a transformer, socket
mounted interchangeable plug-in/plug-
out relay and prewired
printed circuit board. The zone controller must be rated for 5 amps
and have DPDT switching action.
All models shall be Bell & Gossett Model Z-1.
Models Z-4B and Z-6B
Multiple Zone Controllers with Boiler Reset
Furnish and install zone pump controller(s) as shown on plans. The
controller(s) shall be UL listed and suitable for operation of
________ circulator pumps. Controller shall include a transformer,
relays with SPST switching action and a prewired printed circuit
board. The zone controller shall have user selectable DHW priority
with adjustable timer (30 / 60 minutes, selectable purge timer and
pump exercise functionality. Units requiring plug-
in cards for
exercise, purge, priority or expansion shall not be acceptable. LED
status lights shall be visible through the front of the enclosure. All
models shall be Bell & Gossett Model Z- ________.
Controller shall incorporate a pre-
wired integral boiler reset
controller into the enclosure. The controller shall cycle the burner to
maintain the optimum system supply temperature relative to the
outdoor air temperature. Warm weather shutdown functionality
shall be included to prevent system operation above a user-
selectable outdoor temperature threshold. All necessary sensors
must be included.
Models Z-2, Z-3, Z-4 and Z-6
Multiple Zone Controllers

controller(s) shall be UL listed and suitable for operation of

controller(s) shall be UL listed and suitable for operation of
________ circulator pumps. Controller shall include a transformer,
relays with SPST switching action and a prewired printed circuit
board. The zone controller shall have user selectable DHW priority
with adjustable timer (30 / 60 minutes, selectable purge timer and
pump exercise functionality. Units requiring plug-
in cards for
exercise, purge, priority or expansion shall not be
acceptable. LED
status lights shall be visible through the front of the enclosure. All
models shall be Bell & Gossett Model Z- ________.
Controller shall incorporate a pre-
wired integral mixing reset
controller into the enclosure. The controller shall vary the speed of
the injection pump to maintain optimum radiant loop temperature
relative to the outdoor air temperature. The boiler return
temperature shall be monitored to ensure that the appropriate
minimum water temperature is not violated. Warm weather
shutdown functionality is activated to prevent system operation
above a user-
selectable outdoor temperature threshold. All
necessary sensors must be included.
