Querying Voicebox Messages
The administrator of the Forum 500 / Forum 5000 communica-
tions system can configure a voicebox for you as an answering
machine. Querying voicebox messages is possible via a Speech
function key (see Programming Function Keys starting on
page 49). Activating or deactivating the voicebox is done via call
forwarding to the voicebox call number (see Call Forwarding start-
ing on page 26).
Any time there are new messages on your voicebox, the sym-
bol appears on the display with the number of voicebox messages
received below it. The Speech softkey as well as the LED of the
voice mail key are blinking red.
1. Press the Speech function key or also the voice mail key.
The display shows the list of received messages.
2. Use the navigation keys to go to the desired
entry.
To listen to the message, pick up the handset or press the
Loudspeaker key . Your voicebox is called and the message
is played.
If you would like to call the voicebox in the handsfree mode,
press the handsfree key .
3. To show detailed information on the entry selected, press
the softkey. Date and time of receipt of the message as
well as duration of the message are shown.
4. The following editing options (softkeys) are available when
querying voicebox messages:

Dial : You call the caller back.

Play : Listen to the message. You can also use the number
keys to control message playback: 4 (rewind), 5 (pause) and
6 (fast forward).

Forward : You can forward the message to another voicebox
with or without comment. Activate the
Dest.: input field.
