Underground laying
BEKOFLOW
®
is resistant to corrosion
and can therefore also be laid under-
ground.
The trench should be about 1 m deep
and as narrow as possible. Stones and
other sharp objects have to be removed.
The bottom of the trench should be
covered with approx. 10 cm of sand or
other fine-grained material. The fill mate-
rial coming into contact with the piping
should be of the same kind as at the bot-
tom of the trench and should extend to at
least 10 cm above the top of the pipe.
Due to the risk of condensate formation
associated with underground piping there
should be a water separator installed at a
low point of the line.
Duct laying
When the pipes are laid in ducts that are
then filled with concrete, it must be en-
sured that the pipes are fully enclosed.
At the entry and exit points of the pipes,
provision should be made to protect the
pipes against damage.
