Scheduler
11 Scheduler
A scheduler is used to control tags in relation to the real-time clock. This function
is used to control events in the process, for example starting and stopping motors,
at specific predefined calendar times.
11.1 SchedulerSetUp
The scheduler configuration pages are used to set up scheduler jobs, which can
include a set of tags with associ ated start and stop times .
11.1.1 AddingaScheduler
A sched uler can be added to the project from the Insert ribbon tab.
The scheduler configuration page will open in the desktop when a scheduler
function is created or selected.
Parameter Description
Name Asymbolicnameforthescheduledevent.
Perio d SettoOnce(default)orto a regularinterval(every
minute,hour,day,week,monthoryear).
StartDate/StartTime Thedateandtimeforthefirstscheduledevent.
Duration Thelengthoftheevent.
Tag A digitaltag, whichissetto1duringthespecifiedinterval.
StopTimeEnable Whenchecked,StopDateandStopTimecanbeusedto
determinethe endoftheevent.
StopDate/StopTime Theenddateandtime oftheevent. Also resetsthede fi ned
Tagto0. UsedwhenStopTimeEnableischecked.
Action Clickthebuttontoconfigureanactiontobe performed
whenthescheduled eventisactivated/deactivated.
Note:
Makesurenottousethesametriggertagfortwo differentschedulers. Whenthefirst
scheduleris finished,itstriggertagisreset,andthesecond schedulerwillnotbe
triggered.
