Power Connections
The CP1A power supply module comes with two
ribbon cables for connecting to standard Eurorack
modules. Here are some general notes regarding
the connection of power to your modules. It is
easier to make these connections before the
modules have been mounted into the rack case.
1. Turn the power supply o and disconnect the
power adapter from the CP1A.
WARNING: The power must be o before
making or undoing any connections to
any modules.
2. The CP1A power supply module has two 16-pin
sockets on the rear PCB. These are wired in
parallel, and either one, or both may be used.
The supplied 16-pin ribbon connectors have
tabs that will align with the gaps in the sockets,
so they cannot be inserted incorrectly. Be sure
to orient pin 1 (-12 V) with the red stripe on
the cable.
3. Find out the power supply requirements for the
modules to be installed.
WARNING: The total power requirements from
all modules shall not exceed the maximum
power output of the CP1A.

4. Ribbon cable adapters may be required, if for
example, your module has a 10-pin input power
connector.
5. Make sure that the module voltage
requirements follow the CP1A voltage outputs
as shown in the pin-out diagram above.
6. After both ends of the power cable have been
securely attached, you may mount the module
in a case and turn on the CP1A power supply.
Module Installation
The necessary screws are usually included with
modules for mounting in a Eurorack. Connect the
power cables before mounting.
The Eurorack Rack has top and bottom tracks that
have individual threaded plates that slide along
the length of the case. These free-moving threaded
plates allow precise positioning of the module, but
each plate should be positioned in the approximate
relation to the mounting holes in your module
before attaching the screws.
Hold the module against the Eurorack Rack rails so
that each of the mounting holes are aligned with a
threaded plate. Attach the screws part-way to start,
which will allow small adjustments to the positioning
while you get them all aligned. After the nal position
has been established, tighten the screws down.
Some very sensitive analogue modules may pick
up low-level noise when placed directly next to the
CP1A. We recommend placing less-sensitive or digital
modules next to CP1A for optimum noise performance
* Note: The maximum module depth only applies when the rack is used on a desktop. When it is rack mounted the
maximum depth is determined by the 19" rack unit so the available depth would be much greater.
