9. Test procedures
9.1. Testing devices of protection class I

Test object connection:
The test procedure occurs automatically in the sequence
specified below:
- Protective conductor resistance
- Insulation resistance
- Substitute leakage current

Please note: The test object must be switched on.
The test sequence is started by pressing the „START“
button for < 2 s.
9.1.1. Measuring the protective conductor resistance
The protective conductor resistance is measured using a
measuring current > 200 mA DC. The direction of current is
automatically reversed by the tester.
Before measuring is started, a test is made to ascertain whether
a valid compensation of the test line has been conducted. If this
is not the case, the following message appears in the status line:
„A faulty zero calibration is shown. Please repeat the
compensation!“
