Preparing sandwiches
Insert the sandwich plates (15) into
the appliance as described in the sec-
tion Changing the function plates
(page 26).
Fold the lid (6) downwards.
Insert the plug into the mains socket.
The red power indicator (2) and the
green temperature indicator (3) light
up and the appliance starts heating.
This can take a few minutes.
NOTE
In the mean time, prepare your
sandwiches and then ll to taste,
e. g., with salami and cheese.
Do not use too much cheese. Melted
cheese can ooze out of the sides of
the sandwiches.
Wait until the green temperature indi-
cator (3) extinguishes.
Open the lid (6) of the appliance and
lay the prepared sandwiches onto the
lower function plate.
Slowly press the lid (6) downwards
and fold down the lid locking latch (5).
During baking, lift the lid (6) briey to
check the progress. Depending on the
lling, this will take between 4 and 6
minutes.
Open the lid (6) and remove the
nished sandwiches with a wooden or
heat-proof spatula.
NOTE
If you wish to prepare further sand-
wiches, wait until the green tempera-
ture indicator (3) extinguishes. The
appliance has then reached the right
baking temperature.
Making wafes
Instructions on preparing:
The wafe mixture should have a thick
texture but still smoothly ow off the
spoon.
The ingredients used should be fresh
and be at room temperature.
If too much wafe mixture is used, it
can ooze out of the side of the ap-
pliance. This particularly applies to
mixtures with raising agents. Use less
mixture when lling the next time.
If you ll with too little mixture, the waf-
e form will be smaller.
To prevent the wafes from softening,
do not lay the nished wafes on top of
each other.
