To change the lower function plate, pro-
ceed as follows:
Push both locks of the lower function
plate (10) simultaneously upwards
and fold the function plate (9) for-
wards.
Remove the upper function plate and
insert the new function plate into the
the rear guideway.
Fold the lower function plate down-
wards until it audibly snaps in.
NOTE
Always use two function plates of the ►
same type.
After inserting, check the function ►
plates for rm seating.
Preparing sandwiches
Insert the sandwich plates (15) into
the appliance as described in the sec-
tion Changing the function plates
(page 26).
Fold the lid (6) downwards.
Insert the plug into the mains socket.
The red power indicator (2) and the
green temperature indicator (3) light
up and the appliance starts heating.
This can take a few minutes.
NOTE
In the mean time, prepare your ►
sandwiches and then ll to taste,
e. g., with salami and cheese.
Do not use too much cheese. Melted ►
cheese can ooze out of the sides of
the sandwiches.
Wait until the green temperature indi-
cator (3) extinguishes.
Open the lid (6) of the appliance and
lay the prepared sandwiches onto the
lower function plate.
Slowly press the lid (6) downwards
and fold down the lid locking latch (5).
During baking, lift the lid (6) briey to
check the progress. Depending on the
lling, this will take between 4 and 6
minutes.
Open the lid (6) and remove the
nished sandwiches with a wooden or
heat-proof spatula.
NOTE
If you wish to prepare further sand- ►
wiches, wait until the green tempera-
ture indicator (3) extinguishes. The
appliance has then reached the right
baking temperature.
Making wafes
Instructions on preparing:
The wafe mixture should have a thick ■
texture but still smoothly ow off the
spoon.
The ingredients used should be fresh ■
and be at room temperature.
If too much wafe mixture is used, it ■
can ooze out of the side of the ap-
pliance. This particularly applies to
mixtures with raising agents. Use less
mixture when lling the next time.
If you ll with too little mixture, the waf- ■
e form will be smaller.
To prevent the wafes from softening, ■
do not lay the nished wafes on top of
each other.
