completely normal. Ensure sufcient
ventilation.
Switching the appliance ON/OFF
The appliance is not equipped with an on/
off switch. The appliance is in operation
when the mains plug is plugged in.
Operation and use
Opening/closing the lid
To open the lid, push the lid locking 
latch (5) forward and lift the lid (6).
To close the lid, slowly press the lid 
(6) down and snap the lid locking latch
(5) over the recess for the lid locking
latch (11).
Changing the function plates
The appliance is supplied with 5 different
function pates. The upper and lower func-
tion plates are interchangeable i.e., can be
inserted above or below.

WARNING
Danger of burns!
Before changing the function plates, ►
allow the appliance to cool down.
To change the upper function plate, pro-
ceed as follows:
Lift up the lid locking latch (5) and 
open the lid (6).
Push both locks of the upper function 
plate (7) simultaneously upwards and
fold the function plate (8) forwards.
Remove the upper function plate and 
insert the new function plate into the
the lower guideway.
Fold the upper function plate towards 
the lid until it audibly snaps in.
